Port Canaveral is known as the gateway to Central Florida, providing facilities for ships and industries a like! Port Canaveral is a beautiful location to visit for dinner, prepare for travels upon a cruise or a day trip with local fishing charters. It is also home to marinas, cargo ships, US Army, Navy, and Air Force facilities. Visitors can also access the beach through Jetty Park, enjoy a picnic and the playground or rent a campsite for primitive and RV camping at Jetty Park. Tourism accounts for nearly 80% of the Port’s revenue. We find that many of our visitors come to the area because of our cruise ships and enjoy the sandy beaches of Brevard while they are here! 

As a local, many Space Coast residents enjoy the dining options at the Port. I know our family loves to enjoy dinner and drinks by the water as we watch the boats pass by. It is a destination for those near and far. It is also very convenient for those that live beachside, on Merritt Island, Cocoa and Port Saint John areas. With easy access from the 528, it is easy to travel to and from Orlando even.
